"North Carolina Chronicle Or Fayetteville Gazette" December 13, 1790
Whereas in the year 1771, I gave five obligations to Frederick Gobble, each
containing the sum of seven pounds ten shillings, Maryland currency, (dollars at
7/6) and the first bond became due in August, 1772, and the next in August,
1773, and one became due in each year afterwards. I have paid and taken up all
but the last obligation, which I have been always ready and willing to
discharge: and being informed that the said obligation was sent to this state, I
take this method to give public notice to whomsoever may have such obligation,
to apply to Basil Gathier, living in the Forks of the Yadkin rivers, in the
county of Rowan, having requested him to discharge such obligation, as I am
about removing to the state of Georgia.
