Thurs., April 12, 1860   North Carolina Argus April 12, 1860
   -- A fire occurred at Gold Hill, Rowan County recently, destroying the post 
office, MESSRS. H. MARTIN  & BROS. Store, M. G. MORGAN'S shoe shop, and F. M. 
SCOTT'S grocery. MESSRS. MARTIN & BROS. store was insured for $2,500. Their 
loss is about $2,000.
