DEATHS AND FUNERALS.
EUGENE A. HOLDER.
   Eugene Alphonso Holder of 506 Euwan avenue died at Columbia hospital y
yesterday after an illness of a few hours. Mr. Holder was born in Salisbury, N. C
C., June 9, 1875. He had lived in Columbia for the past 26 years. He worked at t
the Bruns Monumental Works. He had been in the granite work for 50 years.
   Mr. Holder is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eunice Boyd Holder; three 
daughters, Mrs. Everett H. Miller and Mrs. W. P. Stradley of Columbia and Mrs. 
Odis Ussery of Joplin, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sides, Statesville, N. 
C.; Mrs. Ida Heiling, Winston-Salem, N. C., and Mrs. Carrie Horton, Mt. Ulla, N
N. C.; three brothers, H. A. Holder of Columbia, Robert Holder of Farmersville, T
Texas, and Roy A. Holder of Governor's Island, N. Y. Mr Holder was a member of A
Arsenal Hill Presbyterian church.
   Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night. The body is at rest at the 
Dunbar funeral home.
