DEATHS AND FUNERALS.
HOLDER FUNERAL
   Funeral services for Eugene Alphonso Holder, who died at the Columbia ho
hospital Monday afternoon, will be held from the Dunbar funeral home at 11 a.m. Th
Thursday. The rites will be conducted by the Rev. Walter K. Beaty, pastor of Ar
Arsenal Presbyterian church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial park.
   Mr. Holder, who was 70, was a native of Salisbury, N. C., but had lived in C
Columbia the last 26 years. He was connected with the Bruns Monumental works.
   Mr. Holder is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eunice Boyd Holder; three 
daughters, Mrs. Everett H. Miller and Mrs. W. P. Stradley of Columbia and Mrs. 
Odis Ussery of Joplin, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sides, Statesville, N. 
C.; Mrs. Ida Heiling, Winston-Salem, N. C., and Mrs. Carrie Horton, Mt. Ulla, 
N. C.; three brothers, H. A. Holder of Columbia, Robert Holder of Farmersville, 
Texas, and Roy A. Holder of Governor's Island, N. Y. Mr Holder was a member of 
Arsenal Hill Presbyterian church.
