ERNEST E. MILLER.
   SALISBURY Feb. 23---Ernest Edgar Miller, 81, of Salisbury, died at 10:35 
a.m. today in Rowan Memorial Hospital. He had been ill one week. Miller was a 
native of Rowan. Before his retirement in 1949 he was an engine carpenter for 
Southern Railway 47 years. He was a member of the Trading Ford Baptist Church. 
Survivors: his wife, the former Lillian Agatha Eller; four sons, the Rev. Coy 
R. Miller of Blacksburg, S.C., Edgar A. Miller of Greensboro, Ernest E. Miller 
of Cary and James J. Miller of Washington; four daughters, Mrs. W. Lee File of 
Route 4, Salisbury, and Mrs. George L. Morris, Mrs. H. M. Leazer and Mrs. Zeta 
Smith of Salisbury; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral 4 
p.m. Sunday, Trading Ford Church, the Rev. Banks W. Mullis, the Rev. R. N. 
Huneycutt and the Rev. E. M. Fain, burial church cemetery.
