THE DEATH RECORD. Mr. J. A. Miller, of Cleveland. Special to The Observer. Statesville, Feb. 26.---Mr. James Alexander Miller, of Cleveland, who was brought to the Billingsley Hospital here about a month ago in a hopeless condition, passed into the Great Beyond yesterday afternoon at 4:20 o’clock. He w was a victim of the great white plague and his death had been expected at any t time for some days. Mr. Miller was born near Salisbury 38 years ago, but has for many years lived at Cleveland. He is survived by three sisters and one half-brother, viz.; Mrs. J. T. Holder, of Salisbury; Mrs. Cap Stewart and Mrs. A. E. Tatum, of Davie County, and Mr. R. E. Miller, of Spencer. Years ago he married a daughter of Mr. M. A. Plyler, a prominent citizen of Cleveland, and his wife and two children preceded him to the grave. His father-in-law, Mr. Plyler, is at p present at Billingsley Hospital for treatment. Since the death of his wife and children Mr. Miller had made his home with a nephew, Mr. A. D. Davis, of Cleveland, and Mr. Davis was with him when the end came yesterday afternoon.
