SALLIE GOODNIGHT DEAD __________ Widow of the Late J. V. Goodnight Dies at the Home of Her Son-in-Law, Engineer Joe C. Lee, in This City. Mrs. Sallie C. Goodnight, aged about 65 years, widow of the late J.C. Goodnight, died at the home of her son-in-law Engineer Joe C. Lee, 223 East Steele Street, this morning at 4:20 o'clock. The funeral and burial will take place at Luther's chapel church near China Grove, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, the funeral party leaving Salisbury on No. 11 at 9 o'clock. Two daughters and two sons survive, these being Mrs. J. C. Lee, of Salisbury; Mrs. C. M. Smith, of South Boston, Va; Mr. J. C. Goodnight, of Pittsburgh, Pa; and Mr. W. C. Goodnight, of High Point. One sister, Mrs. Lunday Archie, of near Mooresville, also survives. Mrs. Goodnight was a most excellent woman, a member of the Lutheran church, and had many friends in Rowan county who will learn with sorrow of her death.
