TROY, though a very young man, was honored by the legislature of his state with the appointment of solicitor general for the western superior court district, the duties of which office he discharged with peculiar fidelity and professional ability. In the death of this young man, who was equally distinguished by private virtues and splendid talents, his native state has been deprived of one of its favorite sons, and society, one of the brightest ornaments. –Geo.
