Miss Lot DAWSON, 72 years of age, is to wed Col. Joe MCDANIEL, who is 84 years 
old.  Both are inmates of the county home and at 4:30 in the afternoon of 
October 12, Rev. Dr. MURDOCH will officiate at the wedding and a number of 
Salisbury's prominent people will attend it. The county is to give them a big 
dinner and they will come to Salisbury where their bridal tow will be a trolley 
ride to Spencer and return. 

At the meeting of the commissioners yesterday the matter came up.  The county 
fathers believing it better to give their consent than to have a runaway match 
without the paternal blessing yielded, and they will be present in a body to 
witness the wedding.
