    MARRIED, in Rowan County, on the 15th instant, by the REV. JOHN R. DAVIS, 
MR. JOSEPH GILLESPIE of Mecklenburg County, to MRS. TERESSA SLOAN of Rowan 
County.

Additional Comments:
[Please note: there is another marriage in Rowan of Joseph F. Gillespie to 
Mrs. Gillespie on the same date. I do not know whether the above is a 
correction or whether there were two Joseph Gillespies from Mecklenburg, 
perhaps a father and a son. I am submitting both and perhaps the reader can 
determine from other records.]
