ROWAN COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Eleanor Brown, 10 May 1817 ----¤¤¤¤---- Will Book G page 461-462 In the name of God amen! First; I desire my body to be buried in a decent manner by the discretion of my Executors. 1. After all my just debts are paid, I give and bequeath to my brother JOHN'S children namely, ELIZABETH and POLLY BROWN, the sum of Eight each one. 2. I give and bequeath to my sister RACHEL'S Son, namely SAMUEL JOSEY, the sum of Eight Dollars. 3. I give and bequeath to my Mother, my spinning wheel during her lifetime, after her decease to my brother JOHN'S daughter, namely POLLY BROWN. 4. I give and bequeath to my sisters, namely POLLY LAMM and RACHEL PEELER, all my clothes to be divided in equal shares. 5. I give and bequeath to my brother in law all the balance of my property, bank notes and cash in hand, to be equal to be divided amongst the two, namely SAMUEL LAMM and CHRISTIAN PEELER. 6. Further it is my will that if my brother in law cannot divide without dispute there shall be made a sale and the money equally divided among the two, namely JAMES LAMM and CHRISTIAN PEELER. 7. Further it is my will that my brother in law JAMES LAMM is appointed for my executor to this my last will and testament, whereunto I set my hand and affixed my seal this Tenth day of May 1817.
