Last Will and Testament Of Adam Casper

In the Name of God Amen I Adam Casper of the County of Rowan And the
State of North Carolina being within body but of a perfect mind and
memory and calling to mind the mortality of the body that it is appointed
unto all men once to die Do make and ordain this my last will and
testament That is to say principally and first of all I Recommend my soul
into the hands of God who give it and my body to the earth to be buried
in decent Christian burial. At the discretion of my executors and as
touching those worldly goods with which it pleased God to bless me in
this life I give and dispose of them in manner as follows

1st I give and bequeath into my son Andrew Casper the Balance of My
Plantation. Supposed to be one hundred and seventy nine acres and a half
and after the death of my son Andrew Casper the land shall belong to his
heirs and heirs alone subject to such exemptions and Encumbrances as I
have made and shall herein after make and also my wagon and hind gears
Saddle and Bridle also my set of…… tools also all my stock of
Hogs and two head of sheep and all my plows and harrow and two sets of
plows gears and my rifle gun and I do hearby Ratify and confirm all
others gifts here to-fore given him by me.

2nd I give and bequeath unto my daughter Caty Casper two beds and
furniture too chests with their contents saddle and bridle (sentence
scratched out) her spinning wheel all the dresser furniture she owns. Two
cows and calves also called hers… two sheep, I also gave and
bequeath to my daughter Caty Casper One bed and furniture, one chest and
all its contents,one spinning wheel ,Reel the Conner Cupboard with all
the dresser furniture that is my own together with pots ovens skillets
pans and my table and knives and forks also three head of sheep. I also
will that my son Andrew Casper gave her full and peaceable possession in
the house now used apart by me and also so much use of the out houses as
she may use. I also will that the above property will to my daughter Caty
shall after her death be equally divided amongst my daughters share and
share alike.

3rd I will and bequeath unto my son Jacob Casper all my clothes after my
death and also five dollars in money and I do hereby ratify and confirm
all other gifts and property hereto fore given him by me.

4th I will and bequeath that the four hundred dollars where my son Peter
Casper Received of my son Conrad for Land shall be his full portion and I
do hereby ratify and give him full possession of all other gifts and
property he claims on my premises.

5th I give and bequeath into my son Conrad Casper one hundred seventy
acres off the south end of my track where I now live to be divided in
such manner ad will divide the good and the poor land as equal as
possible and I do hereby ratify and confirm all other gifts and property
heretofore given him by me.

6th I give to my daughter Polly Casper two beds and furniture one chest
with all its contents, saddle and bridle one my son ( sentence scratched
out..)

Two cows and calves two sheep and all her dresser furniture which she
owns and I do hereby ratify and confirm all other gifts heretofore given
by me.

7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Christina now the wife of Michael
Bostian the sum of one dollar as I have fully portioned her I do hereby
ratify all gifts and property heretofore given her by me

8th I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth now the wife of Peter
Bostian the sum of one dollar as I have fully portioned her, I do hereby
ratify and confirm all gifts and property heretofore given her by me.

I nominate and appoint my son Andrew Casper and Casper Holshouser
executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby make void
all other wills heretofore made by me. Ratifying and pronouncing this my
last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this… tenth day of August in the year of our Lord Eighteen
Hundred and Forty Four
