Delapp, Daniel - 1821, Rowan County, North Carolina - Wills Submitted to the USGenWen Archives by Layne Delapp Pigmyfeet@aol.com Daniel Delapp's Will In the name of God Amen--I Daniel Delapp of the County of Rowan in the State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this last will and testament in manner and form following: (to Viz.)--First I give and Bequeath to my beloved wife, Nancy Delapp my homestead Plantation whereon I now live during her natural life, without hinderence or molestation of any person whatsoever--also one horse or mare her choice of my horses, also her saddle and bridle, and also two milk cows, and also two bedsteads of furniture, as much of the household and Kitchen furniture as will be sufficent for her to keep house with. I also give to my said wife, Nancy, my negro woman, Suck, during her natural life. It is also my will that my Executors hereafter named shall furnish my said wife with sufficient provisions for herself and said negro for one year after my deceace in the manner they formerly lived. Item of the second--I give and bequeath to my Daughter, Nancy Delapp, and son, John Delapp, my Daughter, Jane Delapp, my Daughter, Susannah Delapp, and my son, Robert Delapp one dollar each besides what I have given them already and no more. Item of the Third--I give to my grand son, Daniel Delapp, son of William Delapp, one hundred dollars. Item of the Fourth--I give to my grand son, John Delapp, son of Daniel Delapp, one hundred dollars. Item of the Fifth--I give to my grand son, Daniel Delapp, son of Hugh Delapp, one hundred dollars. Item of the Sixth--I give to my grand son, Joseph Masten, one hundred dollars. Item--It is then my will that all the rest of my estate should be sold by my Executor at public sale--and the money arising from that sale to be equally divided between my five youngest children (to wit) William Delapp, Daniel Delapp, Thomas Delapp, Hugh Delapp and Abigail Mastten. I do hereby constitute, ordain, and appoint my Son-in-Law, Mathias Mastten, Executor of this my last will and testament-- Signed, Sealed, published and pronounced by the said Daniel Delapp as his last will and testament in the presence of us who were present at the signing of the same, this 17th day of March, 1821 Witnessed ?
