I JOHN LUCKEY of the county of Rowan in the state of North Carolina being very sick & weak in body but of perfect mind & memory thanks be given unto God, therefore calling this to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make & ordain this my last will & Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give & recommend my soul unto the hands of God that gave it & for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executor not doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I leave my land lying along JOHN BEYANS line to be sold at publick sale and the money to be equally divided between my three brothers JAMES LUCKEY ROBERT LUCKEY and GEORGE LUCKEY after my just debts are paid upon thus paying my sister MARY LUCKEY, my sister ISABLE LUCKEY, and my sister JEAN LUCKEY one third of each of their parts from the sale of the land. I give & bequeath to my brother ROBERT LUCKEY my hatt . Likewise my brother GEORGE LUCKEY I give & bequeath all my wearing apparel and a colt. Likewise my sister MARY LUCKEY I give & bequeath one feather bed & furniture. THOMS PENNERY & ISAAC JONES I constitute & appoint Executors of this my last will & Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke & disannull all and every other former Testaments Wills & Legacies Requests and Executors by me in any way before this time named willed & bequeathed ratifying & corfirming this & no other to be my last will & Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my nand & Seal the day & year above written Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of us.
