Written: May 31, 1797

In the name of God Amen!  I Samuel Luckie of Rowan County & State of No. 
Carolina, being weak in body but perfect in mind & memory thanks be to God, do 
make constitute and appoint this my last will & test: Vitz

First of all, I give & bequeath unto the almighty God my soul & my body to be 
decently buried; Secondly I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Ann 
her part of the house & all her household, which she now possesses, & my roan 
mare, two cows, & her victuals & washing.  Thirdly unto my son Samuel I also 
give and bequeath all the land that I possess in No. Carolina & my year old 
colt & all my plantation tools & the remainder of my horned cattle & all my 
hogs, my waggon I leave betwixt my sons Robert & Samuel.  If my roan mare 
should have a colt next spring I give it to my granddaughter Peggy & I do 
hereby further more constitute & appoint my youngest son Samuel to be executor 
of this my last will & test & I do hereby make & appoint this & no other as my 
real & last will & test:  In witness thereof I hereunto set my hand & affixed 
my seal this 31st Day of May AD 1797.
