I bequeath to my well beloved son ELIJAH the coarse hackle. Also I bequeath to my granddaughter RACHEL GRAHAM my blue gown and stuft petticoat and my fine hackle a pewter dish and three pewter plates and dresser furniture, and the remainder of the pewter to ELIJAH and my horse and one cowhide and one to my son JOSEPH and my cow and loom to ELIJAH and he to pay the rights of the children and equal shares and one single blanket and one to RACHEL and one flat iron to JOSEPH and my wheel to RACHEL andthe rest for the use of the house and my oven to ELIJAH and my chest and cowbell. My feather bed and counterpane and bolster to NANCY MARTIN (Marlin) and the pot racks to ELIJAH and one churn. And I do herewise constitute make and ordain my well beloved son JOHN MARLIN my sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequeaths and executors by me in anyway beforenamed, willed, bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Test: in witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Nancy Martin (her mark) witnesses: John Culbertson Alexander Martin 14 Apr 1803 Signed sealed and published, pronounced and declared by the Said Nancy Marlin as her last Will and Testament in presence of us subscribes John Culbertson Alexander Martin Note: Nancy's will is filed under the name Nancy Martin.However, comparison with other records prove that she is Nancy Marlin..Throughout the history of Marlin family, the name has often been written down as Martin, and sometimes an unknown usurps the Marlin name in history.
