In the name of God Amane
I, Andrew Manius, of the county of Rowan and State of North Carolina, being 
weak in body but of a sound mind considering the shortness of life and the 
sertainty of death, I do ordain this my last will and Testament in the 
following maner, that is to say, I comit my Soul to God who gave it and my 
body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a deasent Christian 
manner at the direction of my wife.
And as to what worldly substance it hath pleased God to bless me with in this 
life
It. 1  I do will that all my lawful debts be paid and my funeral Expences be 
paid
It. 2  I Give and bequeath all my substance [substance has been lined out] 
Estat to my beloved Wife, Polly, (illegible) her Widdowhood life and at her 
Marrige or death my land and my property to be equally divided between my two 
children, Sally and Andrew and if Andrew should die without an hair, his part 
of the Land to fall back to Sallyes heirs.
In witness where unto I have set my hand and seal this 27 January 1843.
