I, Fredrick Meanas, of the County of Rowan and State of North Carolina, being weake in body but of a sound disposeing mind and memory blesed be god for the same, do this Eighteen day of March 1822 make, publish and ordain this my last will and Testament in the manner following: first my last will and desire is that all my property remaine as it is until my youngest Child named George [George is lined out and replaced with Henry] should arive to the age of twenty one years or until my wife marries if that should be the Case. If my wife should Marry, my will and desire is that all my property should be Sold and Equally divided between of my Children share and share alike after deducing out of my two sons share, namely, Andrew and Fredrick's and my daughter, Caty, waggoners which they have already Recived. If my wife, Rosey, should remain single, I then give and bequeath to my son, Geare [may mean George] one hundred acres of land with the house and improvemts Included upon Condition he Manetain my wife during her natural life. My will also is that my son, George, Shall pay back to the rest of Children one hundred dollars to be Equally divided amonst [amonst lined out and replaced with between them all. My will also is if my Son, George, do not take the land upon the above Conditions, any one of my other sons may have the hundred acres of land upon the same Conditions, Incluging the Improvements. My will and desire further is if my wife never Marry, she shall have an equal share with my Children. I pronounce this and this alone to be my last will and Testament revoking all other wills before made. In witness hereof There in to set my hand and seal the day and first above written. I nominate & appoint my two sons Andrew or Fredrick Meanas Executors of this my last will and testament.
