ROWAN COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Martha Moore, 15 Apr 1806 ----¤¤¤¤---- Will Book E page 51-52 In the name of God amen! I MARTHA MOORE of the County of Rowan and State of North Carolina, being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed unto all once to die, Do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament. Principally and first of all, I give and bequeath my soul to almighty God who gave it my body. I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian Manner at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but I shall receive the same at the general resurrection by the Mighty Power of God, as touching the worldly Estate wherewith it has been pleased God to bless me in this life. I give, demise and dispose of it in the following manner and form. First of all, It is my will that all my lawful debts be paid. (2) I will and bequeath one pewter tea pot to POLLY WISEMAN, daughter of ISAAC WISEMAN. (3) I will and bequeath unto EZEBEL McQUIRE one flax wheel. (4) The remainder of all my property to be sold by public sale and the one half of the amount of said sale, I will and bequeath unto ICEEN WISEMAN, daughter of ISAAC WISEMAN, the other half I will and bequeath to DAVID JOSEY, my brothers Son, if to be found in three years, if not to go to the use of the table of the Baptist Church at Jersey Meeting House. I appoint Isaac Wiseman to execute this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this 15 day of April 1806.
