ROWAN COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Nathan Neely, 8 Mar 1828 ----¤¤¤¤---- Will Book H: pages 421 & 422 Rowan Co., NC In the name of God amen. I Nathan Neely of Rowan County in the State of North Carolina, being in a weak and low state of health but of perfect mind and memeory do make and ordain my last will and testament in the manner and following : It is my desire for my body to be buried in a descent Christian like manner, and so breaking with worldy estate it has been pleased God to blest me with in this life. I will devise and dispose of it as follows vez; First, I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Lowry ( the infant daughter of Elizabeth Patterson and now the wife of James Patterson) that plantation I bought from Richard Swaine on third creek together with all the grain crop and stock of hogs, on said plantation.- And I will the plantation I bought from Elia Howard and my horse buck and cotton gin to be sold. 3rd I will to my sister Betsey's son Nathan Neely one hundred dollars. 4th I will the balance of my estate to be equally divided between my brothers and sisters viz. Elizabeth, Alexander, Rebecca, Polly, Arthur, Temperance, and Washington. I nominate and appoint Robert N Flemming guardian to the above named Elizabeth Lowry and as such to have the pure and managenment of the above property that is willed to her. 6th I nominate and approve said Robert N Flemming Executor to this my last will & testament.
