In the name of God Amen.
I CHRISTINA SIFFORD of the County of Rowan and State of North Carolina being 
of sound mind and memory but being consideraly advanst in years and 
considering the uncertanty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my 
last will and testament in the manner and form following that is to say – 
first I give my body to the dust from whence it was taken and my soul to God 
who gave it and that there will be a decent burial provided for me at the 
expense of my estate together with all just debts to whomever owing.

Term First – I give and bequiath to my son PETER SIFFORD airs fifty cents to 
be equally divided amongst them to have and to hold forever.

Term Second – I give and bequiath to my son JOHN SIFFORD his airs fifty cents 
to have and to hold forever.

Term 3 – I give and bequith to my oaldest daughter CATY her ares DANIEL 
STIREWALTS wife now decest fifty cents to have and to hold forever.

Term 4 – I give and bequith all the Remaining property boath Rail and persinal 
of my Estate to my son GEORGE SIFFORD, PHILLIP SIFFORD, DANIEL SIFFORD, 
ELIZABETH LINGLE JACOB LINGALS wife, RACHEL SHUPING MICHAL SHUPINGS wife and 
SARY BOSTON ANDREW BOSTONS wife all the above named to be equally divitet 
amongst the last six named to have and to hold forever.

I hereby constitute and appoint JOHN YOST my lawful Executor to execute this 
my last will and testament to all intents and purposes in every part and 
clause thereof and to the true mening and interest of the same hereby revoking 
and recalling other wills and testaments heretofore made by me.  In witness 
whereof I CHRISTENA SIFFORD have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth day 
of September A.D. 1858

Signed sealed and declared by the said CHRISTENA SIFFORD in the presence of us 
to be her last will and testament at whouse request and in the presence of 
each other we subscribe our names as witness hereunto

Additional Comments:
Christina/Christena Yost wife of George Lewis Siefert/Seaford/Safrit - mother 
of Catherine "Caty", Elizabeth, Rachel, Sarah? "Sary", Peter, John, George, 
Phillip, and Daniel.  Christina/Christena was born about 1770.  In 1850, she 
was living in the home of daughter Elizabeth Lingle in Rowan County, N.C.
