Will of Henry Sluder

Rowan County, NC Original Wills, State Archives of North Carolina, Raleigh, NC;

Devised July 18, 1799.
[No Probate Date Given].  

In the name of God amen I Henry Sluder of the State of North Carolina and County 
of Rowan being of Sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this 
eighteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and 
ninety nine make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following 
that is to say.
First I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Elizabeth Sluder all my personal 
Estate that will remain after paying the legacys herein after to be named 
together with the use and peaceable possession of all my Lands and tenements 
during her life.
I give and bequeath to my beloved Son Isaac Sluder all my lands and tennements 
after the death of my beloved Wife Elizabeth Sluder and one Dollar to be paid on 
demand.
I give to my beloved Daughter Polley McClearey [McCrary] one Dollar. 
I give to my beloved Daughter Nancy Wilson one Dollar.
I give to my beloved Daughter Elizabeth Brookshear one Dollar.
I give to my beloved Daughter Charity McClearey [McCrary] one Dollar.
And I hereby make and ordain my Dearly beloved Wife Elizabeth Sluder Executrix 
and my beloved Son Isaac Sluder my Executor of this my last will and testament. 
In witness whereof I the said Henry Sluder  have to this my last Will and 
Testament set my hand and Seal the day and year above written.
Signed sealed published and declared
by the said Henry Sluder the testator 		
as his last Will and testament in
the presence of us who were present
at the time of Signing and Sealing thereof
