November Session 1824 In the name of God amen. I Smith Blair of the County of Rowan and place of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound and deposing mind and memory. But knowing the uncertanty of life do make and publish this my last will and testiment in manner and forever following (course?). The first place of what worldly goods it hath pleased God to suply me with. It is my wish and desire that my herein after named Executors have my body burried at the Jersey (meeding) grave yard. And have the graves of my Father, Mother, Brothers and my own grave pailed in. And that they procure a tombstone for each of the graves and if it is should not take the sum of two hundred dollars to do the same it is my wish and desire that the surplus be paid to those who have the charge of keeping up the Grave yard. Or to be retainded in the house of the Executors to apply it at such ties as they ?? think proper. And I leave it discretionary for these to pay it to the trustees, or appropriate it themselves as they may think proper. 2ed. I will and bequeath unto my beloved Brother Andrew Blair the Plantation on the North East sides of (Swarming) creek. Which I purchased of Henry Sossman. and the following negrows (Shell, Abram, Richmone, Sesekey and Charlotte. Also the Crop on the Sossman place at my decease. The horses. Slack of every discripion with the (Ecars??). Which may be on said place at my decease to ??? and his heirs forever. 3ed I will and Bequeth unto my beloved cousin Henry Sloan the sum of One thousand Dollars to be paid to him by my Executors, and a negro (boy) endure Jordan to herve and his heirs forever. upon his releasing Debts. I may be due heir at my decease. -- 4th I give and Bequeath unto my beloved Aunt (Jamana) Sloan a negro girl called Winney with all the household and falthood furniture that may be on the Love plantation at my decese, to her and her hers forever. 5th. I give and bequeath unto my beloved cousin Polly Sloan a negro girll called Nancy to her and her heirs forever - 6th. I do formerly give James (Parrish) the sum of One Hundred Dollars each to be paid over to James (Parrish) their father, and by him placed out at interest for their use until they become of age- to their own and their heirs forever. 7th I do hereby give and bequeath after paying all my just debts the residue of my property to the children of my beloved sister Polly Stone. And the children of my Brother James Blair to be devided equally between them. Share and share aliike-- I do hereby nominate and appoint my Brother Andrew Blair the Guardian of my sister Polly Stones children and guardian of my Brother James Blair's children. And that my Executors do pay same to heirs so soon they can ascertain and collect what may be due to them. And that he Andrew Blair place their share and at Interest and pay same to them (not) they become of age with the Interest. 8th. I do herby autorize and direct that my (herin) after named Executors after my decease sell what property that may belong to me on the Love plantation not (Hilled), and, that they are thereby authorized and directed to deliver (love) plantation. I hinds to Wm. C. Love. or keep up love Plantation to the operation of the Leese. And keep what property on land before they sell. to the operation of the lease. As they may think proper. I do hereby nominate and approriate my friend James Parissh and Ezra Alomong my executors of this my last will and testament. Herby revoking and annulling all former wills by me made. And I do hereby ratify and Confirm and publish this in manner and form. States to be my last will and Testament.
