Bean, Thomas - 1800 - Rowan County, NC - Wills Submitted for use in the USGenWeb Archives Project by Susan Thomas Cymri75@aol.com ____________________________________________________________________ Oriiginal Will of Thomas Bean of Rowan County, NC Will Book F., Page Final Will of Thomas Bean In the Name of God Amen I THOMAS BEAN of Roan(Rowan) County of the State of North Carolina Being weak In the body but of perfect mind and memmory Thanks be Given to God Calling to mind the mortality of my Body and Knowing that It is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to principally and First of all I give and Reccomend my Soul Into The Hand of Allmighty God that Gave It and and my body I Reccomend to the Earth To be Buried in a decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the generall Resurrection I shall Receive The Same again by the mighty power of God and touching such world by Estate where with It Hath pleased God to Bless me with In this Life I Give devise and dispose of the same In the following manner and Form---------------- First I give and Bequeath to my Dearly Beloved wife RACHAL BEAN one Hundred acers of Land Including the Dwelling Houses I now Live in beginning on the point the corner of said Land and Running with the various lines of My Son BENJAMIN BEANs Land to Hunting Creek from thence up Sd Creek Till a streight Line will Include the dwelling Houses and join the North Line to make one Hundred acres and thence to the beginning and also one Negro girl called Poll and such movable property as shall be Hereafter mentioned To be freely and clearly and peacjbly enjoyed by her During her Life or Widowhood In Case she do not sell nor convey the sd Land or negro to any other personat her Disease or Inter Marrage the Land to fall to my son BENJAMIN BEAN and the negro Poll and her Increase and the movable property To be equally divided equally amongst all my Children Allso I give To my well beloved son BENJAMIN BEAN all that Tract of Land In Hampshire County In the State of Virginia Containing Foore Hundred and fifty three acors and allso the tract of Land I Bought of Edward Jacob Containing one Hundred and thirty acres If he do give ZACKARYAH TANNEHILL one Horse worth forty dollars If the sd ZACHRY TANNIHIL conrineues with him till He is of the age of Twenty one years_______ Allso I give to well beloved daughter ELIZABETH BEAN all that tract ot Land bought of Hollingworth Vandeford containing Three Hundred acres and all the survey ajoining Called Thos and William Containing ninety nine acres Also I give to my Daughter RACHAL BEAN all that survey of Bought of Isaah Hurley containing one Hundred and Fifty acres and one cow and calf Also I Give to my Daughter MARY BEAN all the Remainder part of the tract of Land that I now Live on after her mothers Hundred Acers Is taken Containing Two Hundred and Seventy Three acres and alsa a survey ajoining surveyed by my self Called Thos and Rachal containig thirty acres And further I Leave the Land that In In partnership between me and Thos Prather and the Land the Lay in the forks of ???
