       August  Soprans 1827	

In the name of God amen.  I Daniel Webb of this County of Rowan in the State
of North Carolina being at present in a low state of health but am perfect in
mind and memory do by these peresents Will and bequeath my property in this my
last Will and Testiment. Viq..I do give and bequeath to my son David Webb a
negro man named Jack livenly four years of age. Also a negro girl named
Deborah and her youngest child. And a negro woman called Sarah my house wrench
to him and his heirs forever. -do give and bequeath to my Grandson Thomas
Jefferson a negro girl called Margaret to him and his heirs forever.---I do
give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Eliza Webb a negro girl- named Sarah to
her and her heirs forever. - I give and bequeath to Daniel Davis my half
sisters son a negro by the name of Juluis about two years of age to him and
his forever.-I will and bequeath to my son Joseph Webb the plantation that I
now live on, also my waggon  and harnefs, also four horse beasts, his choice
also two bar share plows--- I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Webb a negro
man named Stephan a negro boy named Rufus also two women by the name of Lydia
and Nanny, also one bed and furniture.  Likewise the Smiths tool, with all the
Tools---belongs to the plantation, also the Still & rifoils threto belonging. 
Also fifteen head of cattle, fifteen head of sheep, fifteen head of hogs, to
him and his heirs forever.  I do will and bequeath to my Grandchildren,
Alexander M. Webb, Daniel Jefferson Webb, and Mary A. Elizabeth Webb for the
purpose of their schooling One Hundred Dollars cash to be raised by making
sale of  my undivided property to be paid to them by my _____.  I hereby
appoint my sons, Daniel webb and Joseph Webb Escuters of this my will and
testiment.  
 In witnefs whereof I herein To Set my hand and seal this 3rd day of /august
