                           LEWIS FAMILY CEMETERY

                           Rutherford County, NC

     Located in what is now a wooded area off Hwy. 64/74A across from
     the “dot”Hyder house at Green Hill Near Rutherfordton, North
     Carolina. This old graveyard is difficult to find even in the
     cold months. Recorded by Dennis C. Stewart of Etowah, TN., Oct.
     12, 1998

“In memory of C. Lewis born may 26, 1761 died Dec. 13, 1833 Patriot of the
Revolutionary War”

“In memory of E. Lewis wife of C. Lewis died Oct. 22, 1851”

“In memory of Pitman Lewis born Aug. 14, 1789 died April 21, 1858 aged 68
yrs. 8 mo’s 7 days”

“John Lewis born April 25, 1795 died March 20, 1883 aged 87 yrs. 10 mo & 25
days”

Note: there appears to be a few unmarked graves here.
