STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS  
 RUTHERFORD COUNTY
April Term, 1814

WILLIAM W. IRWIN

        Vs.

JOHN HAMILTON agent and attorney of Marshal, etc.

Original Attachment levied on 900 acres of land conveyed to the defendant as 
agent of said firm.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that one of the defendant, JOHN 
HAMILTON,  is not an inhabitant of this State. It is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publication be made for three successive weeks in the Raleigh 
Minerva, that unless the said Defendant appear at our next Court to be held 
for the County of Rutherford at the Court House at Rutherfordton at the Court 
House in Rutherfordton  on the first Monday in July and plead, answer or demur 
to said suit, , the bill will be according to the Plaintiff’s demand.
