Forest City Courier July 25, 1963
Walter Odell Campfield, 60, of Henrietta died at Rutherford Hospital in 
Rutherfordton Wednesday after an illness of six months.  Mr. Campfield was a 
native of Rutherford County and a son of the late Isiac P. and Elouise Allison 
Campfield.  Surviving are:  his wife, Mrs. Mattie Smart Campfield, three sons, 
J. W.  and Thomas Campfield, both of Henrietta and Charles Campfield of Chesnee 
Route 3, S.C.  One brother, C.C. Campfield of Charlotte; three sisters, Mrs. 
B.B. Brooks and Mrs. Vernon Moore, both of Mooresboro and Mrs. Kenneth Putman 
of Henrietta: and six grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted at 4 
p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Henrietta by the Rev. H.H. Roberts 
and J.L. McCluney.  Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Cemetery at Boiling 
Springs.  The body is at the home.  Harrelson Funeral Chapel is in charge.
