March 25, 1836,  Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Ruthersford County, on Sunday evening, the 6th inst., SAMUEL 
HILLMAN, ESQ., Attorney At Law. He was a native of Massachusetts, but 
emigrated while quite a young man to Granville County in this State, which 
County he represented in the State Legislature. He was a man of splendid 
talents, and of great legal and literary attainments.
