JESSIE YELTON
FOREST CITY - Jessie Yelton, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002 at 
Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late 
John and Hattie Greene Yelton, and wife of the late Earnest V. Yelton. 
A homemaker, she was a member of Fellowship Holiness Church in Spindale.
Survivors include five daughters, Josephine Fish, Margie Sisk and Thelma 
Louise Holland of Forest City, Edna Mott of Bostic and Annie Faye Wall 
of Spartanburg, SC; a son, James Joseph Yelton of Forest City; three 
sisters, Martha Mosley, Mary Yelton and Dona Buchanan, all of Bakersville; 
two brothers, Joyce Yelton of Bakersville, and Vestil Yelton of Sykesville, 
MD; four half brothers; two half sisters; 21 grandchildren; 45 great 
grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services were eld at 2 p.m. tuesday at Fellowship Holiness Church. 
revs. G.B. Brown, Paul Nelon, Dennis Yelton, Roger Hudgins and Douglas 
Carpenter officiated. Burial was in Yelton Family Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Crowe's Mortuary in Rutherfordton.
