State of North Carolina

We the subscribers are Jointly & firmly held and bound to the Governor & his 
successors in office in the sum of five hundred pounds to be void on condition 
that where as Mr. Young Hutchins hath made application and obtained License for 
marriage to be celebrated between the said Young Hutchins and Miss Jane Waters.

Now if there shall not appear hereafter any legal cause to obstruct said 
marriage then this obligation to be void and of none effect otherways to remain 
in full force & virtue in law signed sealed and acknowledged as just.
