I Luke WALDROP Senr being in good health and of a sound mind & memory, but calling to mind that I must shortly die I do constitute & ordain this to be my last will and testament; First I commend my soul to God who gave it and that my body be decently buried & that all my past debts be paid, and the balance (sic) I shall dispose of as follows: I give and bequeath to my well-beloved wife Mary my land whereon I live fifty acres more or less her natural life time together with all my other property then to be divided as follows, my land to be divided equally between my two daughters Sarah and Mary & each of them to have a cow and calf & feather bed. I also give my son Asa one cow & calf and feather bed and the balance of my property to be equally divided between my daughters Sarah & Mary and my son Asa. I also appoint my my daughter Sarah and my son Asa Executors of this will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand ad seal this 4th day of January 1818.
