First I recommend my soul to God and my body corpse decently buried thus my will and desire is (to wit) 1st I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth two negroes named Joshia & Kisiah and one feather bed and furniture, also to have the use of the land that I now live on during her natural life as widow as long as she chooses to live on the premises except that part lying on the east side of Sandy Run that my son Joseph sold to Joseph Hamilton. Then at her death or removal this land and premises later sold and conveyed by the executor and the money equally divided among my four children (to wit) Rebecca, James, Lemuel, and Joseph, also I give unto my beloved wife Elizabeth, our bed and furniture, two cows and calves, and one horse beast and as much cupboard furniture as the Executor my thing will be sufficient for her, later at her disposal at her death, that property that I lent to my beloved wife Elizabeth at her death is later returned to the estate and be equally divided among my four above named children. 2nd My will is that my two old negroes Bob & Sook should be at liberty to work for themselves but under direction and care of my son Joseph. 3rd the balance of my negroes (to wit) Dave, Amy, Jesse, Bird, Eli, Margaret, Betty, Burton & Jerry and the rest of my estate to be equally divided among my four named children to wit Rebecca, James, Lemuel and Joseph. 4th I solemnly constitute and appoint my to sons, Lemuel and Joseph my sole executors to this my last will and testament.
