Sampson County, NC - Charles Shaw King Family Cemetery

The Charles Shaw King Family Cemetery is located on Giddensville 
Road, Piney Grove Township, Sampson County, North Carolina. Most 
of the persons interred there are grandchildren of Charles Shaw & 
Jaris Etta (Darden) King. 

The following are interred at this site:
 
1. Lessie King, daughter of Charles Shaw and Etta (Darden) King; 
born 11 April 1908; died 13 June 1908. Lessie had a twin, Jessie 
King, who survived childhood and lived in Clinton, NC for many years.

2. C. S. King (Charles Shaw), son of Henry Stevens and Mary (Britt) 
King; born 4 June 1864; died 13 July 1920.

3. Jaris Etta (Darden) King, daughter of William B. and Clarissa 
(Sutton) Darden, born 14 Sept. 1867; died 30 July 1941.

4. Frances Etta (King) Baker, daughter of Grover Cleveland King and 
Mamie C. (Sutton) King; born 20 March 1913; died 12 January 1974.

5. Earl C. King, son of Grover Cleveland King and Mamie C. (Sutton) 
King; born 21 November 1909; died 9 June 1910.

6. Melba G. King, daughter of Grover Cleveland King and Mamie C. 
(Sutton) King; born 12 June 1911; died 11 March 1914.

7. Mildred C. King, daughter of Grover Cleveland King and Mamie C. 
(Sutton) King; born 26 April 1916; died 10 May 1917.

8. M. Cathilean King, daughter of Grover Cleveland King and Mamie C. 
(Sutton) King; born 4 December 1914; died 3 February 1916.

9. Carlton King, son of Grover Cleveland King and Mamie C. (Sutton) 
King; born 29 September 1924; died 27 October 1930.

10. David King Eldridge, son of Charles S. and Mary E. (King) 
Eldridge; born 5 August 1916; died 5 August 1916.

11. Charles Ray Smith, son of Bernice and Neta (King) Smith; born 
31 December 1936; died 22 January 1938.

12. Carmie Lee Tadlock, daughter of C. A. and Bessie (King) Tadlock; 
born 19 August 1917; died 10 December 1918.
