Pipkin I, Stephen I. Pipkin do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I believe Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin died without leaving any last will and testament; and that I will well and truly administer all and singular the good and chattels, rights and credits of the said Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin and a true and perfect inventory thereof return as provided by law; and all other duties appertaining to the charge reposed in me, I will faithfully and honestly perform with the best of my skill and ability: So help me God. Morisey, Probate Judge In the matter of the administration of the estate of Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin. Stephen I. Pipkin being sworn doth say: That Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin late of said county, is dead, without leaving any will and testament; and that Stephen I. Pipkin is the proper person entitled to letters of administration on the estate of the said Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin. Further, that the value of said estate, so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application, is about $40.00, and that Elizabeth Cox, Maria McClenny and husband John McClenny, Polly J. Warrick, heirs of Alsey Pennington, William R. Pipkin, Celia Futral and husband John Futral, and Stephen I. Pipkin are entitled as heirs and distributees thereof: Stephen I. (his x mark) Pipkin Sworn and subscribed before me this 9th day of March AD 1872 James K. Morisey, Probate Judge ---------- North Carolina, Probate Court Sampson County Administrator Bond Know all men by these presents that we Stephen I. Pipkin, George W. Marsh and Cornelias Patrick are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of one hundred dollars, to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, jointly and severally, our executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed this 9th day of March AD 1872. The condition of the above obligation is such, That if the above bounden Stephen I. Pipkin Administrator of Eli. A. S. J. Pipkin, deceased, do make a true and perfect inventory, and account of sales of all the real estate, and all the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the deceased, which have or shall come to his possession or knowledge, and the same do exhibit into the Probate Court of said county, within three months after the date hereof, and do well and truly administer according to law, all the goods, chattels, rights and estate, that may be sold for the payment of the debts of said deceased, which shall at any time come to the possession of the said Administrator or to the possession of any other person for him; and further, do make a true and just account of his said administration within two years after the date hereof, and all the rest and residue of said proceeds of real estate, goods, chattels and credits, which shall be found remaining upon his account, the same being first examined and allowed by the Judge of Probate shall deliver and pay to such person, as the same shall be due unto; and shall obey all lawful orders of the said Probate, or other court, touching the administration of the estate committed to him, and shall faithfully execute the trust reposed in him as such Administrator according to law, then this obligation to be void and of no effect, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
