Hudson North Carolina, Sampson County This Deed made and executed this July 26th, 1913 by and between Troy R. Hudson and Betsy Hudson his wife of the first part and Mary J. Hudson of the second part all of the State and county aforesaid witnesseth: that the parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars to them paid or secured the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the party of the second part, her heirs and assigns all of that certain tract or parcel of, lying in Turkey Township, Sampson County North Carolina adjoining the lands of J.G. Faison, W.H. Williams and other, and bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a pine stump in W.H. Williams line, J.G. Hudson's corner and runs thence north 45 west 51 poles to a stake in J.G. Hudson's line thence his line abut East 67poles to the beginning containing 23 acres more or less and being part of the Hudson Planation To have and to Hold said lands and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto her the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns in fee simple forever and the parties of the first part do covenant and agree to and with the party of the second part, her heirs and assigns that they are lawfully seized of said lands, have a good right to convey the same that said lands are free and clear of all encumbrances and that they will forever warrant and defend the title thereto against all lawful claims. Robinson a notary Public in and for the County of Sampson do hereby certify that Troy R. Hudson and Betsy Hudson, his wife this day personally appeared before me and acknowledged the due execution of the forgoing annexed Deed to Mary J. Hudson, and the said Betsy Hudson being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution thereof states that she signed the said Deed fully and voluntarily without fear or compulsion on the part of her husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assent to the same. Witness my hand and notarial seal this July 26th, 1913. A.G. Robinson, a Notary Public My commission expired Sept. 19th 1913 North Carolina, Sampson County The execution of the foregoing Deed has been duly proven as appears from the annexed Certificate of A.G. Robinson, a Notary Public of Sampson county attested by his Notarial Seal, which certificate is adjudged to be correct and in due for as prescribed by law .
