GRIMES State of North Carolina Sampson County This Deed made this the 21st day of November AD 1904 by Sudie H. Thomas and C. Frank Thomas as her husband of Richmond county, NC, W. H. Huggins, Jr. and Ella J. Huggins his wife of Sampson County, North Carolina, James M. Huggins and Vivian M. Huggins his wife of Sampson County, North Carolina, Jesse H. Huggins, Bessie A. Huggins said County and State and Rowland F. Huggins and Beatrice G, Huggins of Colleton County in the State of South Carolina, parties of the first part to H. H. Grimes of Wayne County, North Carolina party of the second part, Witnesseth, That said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of thirty seven Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($3730.00) to them paid by the said party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to said H. H. Grimes and his heirs a certain tract or parcel of land in Piney Grove Township, Sampson County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of D. M. Kornegay, M. D. Kornegay, Guilford McCullen, G. A. Casey, Wm. Manley and the run of Goshen Swamp and entirely surrounded by said lands and swamp and bounded as follows, Viz: Beginning at a stake on the Mount Olive road in D. M. Kornegay's line and runs S 18 W about 70.70 chains to a small black gum on the run of Goshen Swamp, thence down said Swamp as it meanders to Wm. Manley's corner, thence with Manley's line N 21 E about 40 chains to a new corner in the old line, then with the old line N 40 W about 32 chains to a stake, thence N 51 E about 8 chains to the Mount Olive road, thence along the middle of the Mount Olive road about as follows: N 57 1/4 W 7.56 chains N 77 1/2 W about 26.25 chains to the beginning containing 375 acres more or less and being a part of the lands belonging to the late Elizabeth A. Huggins, deceased, of Sampson County. to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to him the said H. H. Grimes his heirs and assigns to his and their own use and behoof forever. And the said parties of the first part, for themselves and their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, covenant to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have a right to convey the same in fee simple, that that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof, the said Sudie H. Thomas and C. Frank Thomas, her husband, W. H. Huggins, Jr. and Ella J. Huggins, his wife, James M. Huggins and Vivian M. Huggins his wife, Jesse H.
