HUGGINS This identure made twenty fourth October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty Seven Between James J. Huggins of the County of Duplin State of North Carolina of teh one part and Daiv Giddens of teh State and County aforesaid of the other. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of teh Sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have agreed bargained and sell unto the said James J. Huggins his heirs asigns and executors that track or porion of land being and lying in teh County of Sampson and State aforesaid bounded as follows: Beginning at a pine at Isham F. Hicks corner and runs his line and pass his cirner N 84 West 103 poles to a White Oak in a pond & Henry D. Lewis's corner, thence his lien S 44 West 158 poles to a pine in John L. Clifton line thence his lien Sout 25 poles to a Stake, thence his other line S 66 E 82 poles to a pine thence S 80 E 120 poles to a Stake at teh Bear branch thence down teh branch as it meanders 76 poles to a gum Stump in teh fork of said Branch, thence West 112 poles to a pine thence North 50 poles to a pine thence North 62 E 124 poles to the beginning as in teh plat above containing 131 acres more or less the appertainments thereunto belonging or otherwise appertaining togther with all teh rights and title interests and claims of teh said David Giddens his heirs assigns and executors and teh said David Giddens doth warrant and forever defend the above described tract of land free and clear of all claims of any person or persons claiming by and through the said David Giddens hsi heirs assigns and executors forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal in teh day and year abvoe written.
