HUGGINS North Carolina Sampson County: This indenture made the 29th day of January in the year of our Lord 1887 between Giles A. Carey ad wife Nannie Carey of Sampson County and State of North Carolina and J. L. Britt of Wayne County and State aforesaid parties of the first part and Elizabeth A. Huggins of Sampson County and State aforesaid party of the second part, Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and sixty-six dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted aliened remised released enfeoffed ad confirmed and by these presents do grant alien remise release enfeoff and confirm unto the said party of the second part and unto her her heirs and assigns forever all that parcel of land lying in said County in Piney Grove Township and bounded as follows: Beginning at a large pine stump Swan's and Faison's corner and runs South 51 West 46 poles to a stake at corner of Giddens field in Huggins line then with said line North 40 West 90 poles to a stake the north 33 East 34 poles to a stake then South 88 East 18 poles to a stake then South 40 East 91 poles to the beginning containing 28 1/2 acres more or less together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders unto issues and profits thereof and in all the estate right title interest claim and demands whatsoever of the said parties of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above granted premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the above mentioned and described premises with the appurtenances ad every part and parcel thereof to the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Giles A. Casey and wife Nannie Casey and J. L. Britt for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant grant bargain promise and agree to ad with the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the above granted premises and every part and parcel thereof now being in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part against the said parties of the first part their heirs executors administrators and assigns and against all and every to her person or persons claiming or to claim the said premises or any part thereof.
