Indenture made Jan'y 10, 1852 between David Oates and James R Lewis both of 
Sampson, for $600 land in Sampson on the north west side of the Great Branch 
adjacent to the run of Pasture Branch containing 211 acres.
Witnesses: Henry D Lewis and Nathan Williams
