                    MATTHEW & LUKE PRIDGEON DEED to NATHANIEL JONES
               [The Sons of & Son-in-Law of Matthew Pridgeon of Sampson]
                     [Anna Jane Pridgeon, Wife of Nathaniel Jones]

This Indenture made this Twenty Fifth day of January one thousand eight hundred 
and nineteen Between MATTHEW PRIDGEN and LUKE PRIDGEN in on the one part & 
NATHANIEL JONES of the other part. Witnesseth that I MATTHEW PRIDGE0N and LUKE 
PRIDGEON for & in consideration of the sum of Six hundred Dollars to us in hand 
paid by NATHANIEL JONES of State and County aforesaid have bargained Sold and 
delivered & conveyed unto the Said NATHANIEL JONES a tract or parcel of Land 
situated in the County of Sampson on the South side of clear run. Beginning in 
the drain at a gum that runs into Poly Branch running So.86.E.30 poles up said 
Branch to a Pine thence with the branch So.10.E. 34 poles to a pine thence So. 
47.E.44 poles to a pine PRIDGEON corner thence So.48.W.36 poles to a pine thence 
So.40.E.143 poles to a pine in Reedy Branch thence So.47.W.117 poles to a pine 
thence So. 44.W 52 poles to a Stake thence So. 36.W.29 poles to a stake thence 
So.5.W.89 poles to a pine thence due west 100 poles to a pine thence So.54 W136 
poles to a black Jack thence No.37.West 68 poles to a Black Jack at the edge of 
the Swamp clear run thence on the edge of the Said Swamp to the beginning be the 
same more or less except one half acre at the end MATTHEW PRIDGENS Mill dam on 
the South Side unto him the Said NATHANIEL JONES his heirs Execr admins & 
assigns unto the Said NATHANIEL JONES with all the appurtenances to the Same 
belonging and against the lawful Claim of any person or persons Whatsoever 
except a claim of AUGUSTINE JONES during his natural life on the above named 
land and premises.

In Witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands & Seals the day and date above 
written
