Sampson County, NC - Stephen J Pipkin to Sarah C Pipkin ¤¤¤¤¤¤ Deed Bk 74, Sampson Co, NC, 27 March 1877 Know all men by these presents that I Stephen J Pipkin of the County of Sampson and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear unto my Daughter Sarah Celestial and also in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid by my said daughter Sarah Celestial at and before the sealing & delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge has given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto my said daughter Sarah Celestial one piece or parcel of land situated on the Smith West corner of Clinton on the Elizabeth Town road and bounded as follows viz: Beginning at a stake on the Elizabeth Town road and runs with said road S 23 W 15 poles to a stake at the corner of McKoy street thence with said street N 6 W 12 poles to a stake thence North 23 East 15 poles to a stake in Hines line thence with said line to the beginning containing one acre and one sixteenth more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all priviliges and appurtinances thereto belonging to the sd Sarah Celestial Pipkin and her heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof - hereby given and granted unto the said Sarah Celestial my daughter her executors and administrators forever as her and their own property except my life estate which I hereby retain In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 27th day of March AD 1877 The words which I hereby retain interlined before signing Test Stephen J (his x mark) Pipkin {Seal} James K Morisey North Carolina Sampson County It appearing to the satisfaction of the undersigned that the grantor in the foregoing deed and the subscribing witnesses which are both dead and it further appearing from the oath and execution of E E Johnson that the signature of James K Morisey as a subscribing witness to said deed is in the proper hand writing of the said J K Morisey It is therefore adjudged that the said deed has been properly executed and witnessed and upon the proff of E E Johnson It is ordered that said deed and this certificate be registered This January 17th 1889 Registered on 18th 1889 J S Bizzell Clk ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
