INDENTURE FROM THOMAS VANN to LEONARD VANN

This Indenture made this 6 day of May AD One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety 
Nine 1799  By and between THOMAS VANN  PRISCILLA VANN  and  MARY VANN of the 
County of Sampson and the State of North Carolina on one part and LEONARD VANN 
of the County and state aforesaid on the other part.

Witnesseth that the said THOMAS VANN  PRISCILLA VANN and  MARY VANN  for and in 
cash did ___of the sum of One hundred pounds To them paid by said LEONARD VANN 
before the ____ of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
Have given granted Bargained & sold and by these presents doth give grant 
Bargain sell Convey and Confirm forever unto the said LEONARD VANN his Heirs 
Executors  administrators or assigns forever all the Right title interests claim 
or demand that said THOMAS VANN  PRISCILLA VANN  and  MARY VANN  has of or in 
unto the Real Estate where of HENRY VANN died possessed and of which the persons 
aforesaid are Heirs at law which Real Estate Consists of Three Hundred and 
Eighty Four Acres of land whereon HENRY VANN lived

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD TO HIM the said LEONARD VANN his heirs and assigns free from 
all encumbrances Whatsoever that said LEONARD VANN his heirs and assigns may 
Have hold use Occupy possess and enjoy said land with the appurtenances there to 
belonging without molestation or ___?___tion

IN WITHNESS WHEREOF WE the said THOMAS VANN  Priscilla Vann  and  MARY VANN  
have hand & Set their seals Hands and their Seals the day and Year Foresaid and 
Before Written.  The Balance of this deed carried forward & __?__. Signed Sealed 
and delivered in the presence of Enoch VANN and William VANN. Registered eight 
of July 1799.
