Coates who died while a soldier in Company C 7th Regiment NC Troops was married that the deceased left wife and children but left no agent or attorney as other person legally authorized to collect what was due him for service while a soldier in the service of the State and Confederate States. Coates who died while a soldier in Co. C 7th Regiment NC Troops and that she is the nearest legal representative of said deceased and further says that they have no interest in the claim.
