N.C. Troop Roster
Samson Warren, Sergent
   Born in Sampson County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in 
Sampson County at the age of 18, Oct. 18, 1861. Mustered in as Private. 
Promoted to Corporal on April 8, 1863. Promoted to Sergeant on Jan. 1, 1864.  
Present and accounted for through Oct., 1864. Captured at Petersburg, Virginia, 
April 3 1865. Released on June 30, 1865, after taking Oath of Allegiance.
