N.C. Troop Roster
John H West, Private
   Resided in Sampson County and enlisted at Camp Holmes, near Raleigh, Sept. 
3, 1864, for the war. Captured at the Appomattox River, Virginia, April 3, 
1865. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, April 13, 1865. Released on June 21, 
1865, after taking Oath of Allegiance.
