John Ashford, of Clinton, who was fatally hurt by the explosion of his boiler last Thursday, died yesterday morning. His two sons died the day of the accident, and the fireman, a colored man, was instantly killed. The damage to the property was $2,000, and probably puts an end to an enterprise which promised much to Clinton. Colonel Ashford was about putting in a new machinery for the manufacture of buckets, tubs, etc. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/sampson/obits/a/ashford1429gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 1.0 Kb
