Sampson County, NC - Fred Barefoot Obituary

Dunn - Fred Barefoot, 59, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at his home
on Route 1, Newton Grove. Funeral services will be held Saturday at
3:30 p.m. at New Zealand Free Will Baptist Church. The services will
be conducted by the Rev. J.D. Capps of Benson. Burial will follow in
the Unity Church cemetery.

A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Nazro & Clara
Rose Barefoot. He was a retired civil service worker and a carpenter.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of New Zeland Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Adams Barefoot; his step-mother,
Mrs. Lela Hamilton of Clinton; one son, Frederick of Raleigh; one 
daughter, Mrs. Margaret Wilson of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; two sisters,
Mrs. Will Adams of Bishopville, S.C. and Mrs. Frank Kornegay of
Corona, N.Y.; one half-sister, Mrs. Ida Partimn of Richmond, Va.,
and four grandchildren. 1957
