Sampson County, NC - Bettie C. Rose Obituary

Benson - Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Carolyn Rose, 60, will be
held at 3 p.m. Monday from the Newton Grove Methodist Church by the
Rev. J.A. Cooper, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Horace Barefoot, Newton
Grove Baptist minister. The body will be taken to the church one hour 
proir to services. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Rose, widow of Robert A. Rose, was a member of the Newton Grove
church. She died Saturday after being in declining health for several
years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J.Z. Sharpe of Greensboro, Mrs. 
Hubert Gregory of Newton Grove and Mrs. Russell Johnson of Benson, 
Rt. 2; two sons, Joseph of Kinston, and Robert of Newton Grove; one
step-daughter, Mrs. Eldon Summerlin of Newton Grove, Rt. 2; and one
step-son, the Rev. Raybon A. Rose of New Hampshire; three sisters, 
Mrs. M.C. Lee of Benson, Rt.2, and Mrs. J.R. Bradshaw and Mrs. D.L. 
Hobbs of Clinton, Rt. 3; three brothers, Lisher, Elbert and Burt 
Raynor, all of Newton Grove; and 18 grandchildren.
