Captured at Gettysburg, PA. on July 03, 1863 Confined to Lookout Point, Maryland until paroled May 14, 1865 Transferred to Aikens Landing (James River, Va.) for exchange Private to Sergeant July 1865 Returned Home - Wayne County, NC - Oct. 20, 1865 Became a Farm Dealer in 1866 Married Aly Ann McClenny Daughter of William and Hester B.
